The music discovery platform “mufin.com“ is available as a beta version.
2007
mufin is chosen as acronym for “MusicFinder“ and registered as a trademark. By way of further development, the company manages to excel in recognition technology and open up fields like music recognition
For the first time, mufin MusicFinder presents software which automatically searches out and plays music suitable to an individual’s tastes and mood.
m2any GmbH becomes a 100% daughter company of Magix AG, and the seat of the company is transferred from Munich to Berlin. To make the focus and expansion visible and recognizable by the company name, m2any is renamed to mufin.
2006
Establishment of the m2any GmbH as a technological leader. Further development of AudioID to the world’s most developed system in the field of music recognition.
In cooperation with Fraunhofer IDMT, application of AudioID is developed into the first process for fully automated music recommendation.
2005
MAGIX AG acquires a stake in the m2any GmbH. m2any GmbH acquires the patents and rights to AudioID technology from Fraunhofer IDMT. R&D transferred to Dresden to utilize existing synergies of the Magix development department.
2004
Founding of the m2any GmbH at the Munich location as a spin off of the Fraunhofer Institute for Digital Media Technologies (IDMT) to market AudioID technology.
Awarding of the Joseph von Fraunhofer prize by the Fraunhofer Society for the development of AudioID.
2002
Fraunhofer Society shows AudioID in action for the first time at the MIDEM to the public.
