Goals and Technologies
Recording audio media into a library catalog is a time and personnel-intensive task, and the results only collect rudimentary information about the medium. As part of the CONTENTUS program, mufin is researching technologies and new procedures for automatic editing and analysis of archived multimedia content like text, images, audio and video data are being developed in the project. In addition, our aim is to develop technologies which don't just enable completely automated entry of storage media, but also to include a much more thorough description than conventional entry processes.
